APAC In-person event in preparation for GCFFC Chapter

Having attended the FATF and Interpol Roundtable Engagement Event (FIRE), and providing some thought-provoking statistics, metrics and suggestions to enhance the joint public-private sector fight against financial crime, the Chair of the GCFFC, John Cusack, took time in September to engage with Financial Crime Fighters at an event in Singapore. As part of the presentations, the Coalition Chair shared information about the GCFFC, its members, partners and supporters, and shared insights into asset seizures and confiscations, fraud as the fastest growing crime, financial crime responses, as well as the CGFFC focus areas and expert groups. Discussions continued long after the presentations had ended, with meetings held over the next few days regarding the possible establishment of a Regional Asia Chapter of the GCFFC. Particular highlights were insights from Tom Keating and Maria Nizzero from RUSI, and an update on the work of the Digital Asset Task Force by Malcolm Wright.
